DAY CAMPS

Summer Day Camps 2023 Schedule

We offer 3 sessions/day in our Columbia locations $200/two hour session per week. Campers may sign up for 1, 2 or 3 sessions per day

Squash camps are a great introduction for those new to squash and the best place to develop young squash players who will outplay and outperform the competition. Camps are appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels.  We offer multiple weeks of day camps with flexible session schedules and overnight camps at Mercersburg Academy, PA featuring guest coaches!

Your child will be a part of a high-energy environment and will not only learn a new activity, but will also gain self-confidence. And, of course, they’ll be making friends along the way.
All of our camps include training in the key elements of squash and personal excellence:
  • Sportsmanship

setting expectations for fair and generous behavior and treatment of others

  • Performance & Conditioning

    building speed, strength and agility

  • Growth Mindset

managing emotions, building a ‘grit’ mindset, establishing preparation for challenges on and off the court

  • Strategy

learning to adapt personal strengths to be able to set the tone in a match, be responsive, and create game plans for success

  • Technical Skill

stroke, movement mechanics, and specific elements for match play

Players will be divided by skill level, as appropriate, and areas of focus will shift, based on strengths of each player.

NOURAN overnight camp
“I encourage my adult students to enjoy squash and work out on the side so they can stay healthy and play for life. With juniors, I focus on technique and high intensity repetition so they learn to react quickly, develop consistency and avoid making mistakes.

But most of all, I want players to love the game. It has been a transformative part of my life allowing me to experience the beauty of the sport, travel to various countries to compete, and get to know people and cultures of different places all over the world. When I am coaching or playing, I bring everything I have experienced and learned to the court. It energizes and excites me to know that I am opening these possibilities to another person’s life.”

Nouran has made an impact in every endeavor in which she chooses to invest her time. We are grateful she has chosen to dedicate her experience, ideas and enthusiasm to the Play Squash Academy family.
